Taking a break from feeling overwhelmed to blog and breathe

29 Jul

Hi, my name is Azie & I am a purger of physical things. I am offended by clutter. It makes me anxious and distracted. I make a bi-monthly donation to the Vietnam Vets. Yes, you read that right. We have a standing appointment every other week. (Hubs is a “not-purger” but that is a story for another day.)

Therefore it is a test to my mental health to have my entire 1st floor overrun with furnishings like a Grandma Hoarder who has collected mahogany dressers & velvet settees her entire life. Three of my very best friends are visiting me this month and we have nowhere to cook or sit or eat. Since it is a means to an end, I’m trying to keep it all in perspective and look forward to the big picture.

So today I am bringing back my pregnancy (and post-pregnancy) mantra that kept me from running away from home: Everything is Temporary – including the absence of serenity in my happy place. *taking deep deliberate breaths*

Aww I love this post because I can feel what you’re going through. Breathe honey! It’ll be alright! Just think about the light…you know, the one at the end of the tunnel! Soon it’ll be September and you’ll be sipping coffee in a dreamlike state 😉

As George Constanza’s father would chant: “Serenity Now” ; )
